  What We Do

What do our exceptionally trained therapy dogs do?

Utilizing our specially trained dogs, we make individual and group therapy visits to people in hospitals, nursing care facilities, schools, libraries and other community organizations.

During therapy visits our dogs may perform tricks, help with patient rehabilitation by being brushed or fetching a ball. Our dogs may endure being dressed up in costumes or having their teeth brushed to help children learn life skills. These same dogs may nudge a patient’s arm to show affection or wait patiently as an elderly person slowly pads down a hallway holding their leash.

Our Therapy Dogs:
  • Relieve stress and calm agitated patients
  • Assist in bringing patients in touch with reality
  • Provide social stimulation and satisfy a patient’s need for touch
  • Are reading companions for children
  • Help us teach bite prevention and responsible dog care to children
  • Give unconditional love
  • Distract from patients’ illness
  • Promote emotional well-being
  • Chase away loneliness and
  • Make people smile
