The Fox Valley Therapy Dog Club (located in Yorkville, Illinois) is a volunteer organization providing a wide variety of canine assisted therapy programs to the community since 2002.
Over 40 members strong, our dedicated and motivated volunteers provide a unique “medium” through which we educate, communicate and implement our therapy programs. That medium is our well-trained dogs.
Our club welcomes dog enthusiasts of all kinds interested in animal assisted therapy. Our talented club members are stay-at-home moms, dads, retirees, business-owners, educators, businessmen and women, dog trainers, and even junior handlers.
Our canine companions are just as varied as our membership. Our therapy dogs are mixed breeds, purebreds, show dogs and even couch-potato dogs. These highly trained dogs give us “their all” in every therapy visit we make.
The common thread that makes our Club strong is that we all are volunteers committed to “Making a Difference, One Paw at a Time.” What does this mean? Basically we’re a bunch of hard working, caring people who love working with their dogs and enjoy spending time with others.
We thank those people and organizations that generously provide donations that help our canine companions and us reach out and assist others. The Fox Valley Therapy Dog Club would like to sincerely thank Parkview Christian Academy in Yorkville for graciously providing the place to hold practice sessions with our dogs.
We believe….
With our companion
therapy dogs,
We can make the
world a better place,
One person and
one dog a time.
